I recently started using the Wordpress app for the iPhone and they've added one significant feature. It recovers what you where working on when the app crashes which is very useful because when I first tried the app it wouldn't do this and I got very frustrated several times when I lost articles as a result. If you've got a wordpress blog it's worth checking out as it's free and getting much better with each version. Thanks wordpress team!
I recently downloaded the new Audible iPhone app and let me tell you it is sweet! Pros: 1. Free! 2. Able to playback audiobooks in iPod application 3. Able to download audiobooks you've purchased over WIFI 4. Able to bookmark/notate your favorite spots in an audiobook 5. Hasn't forgotten my position in an audiobook yet like the iPhone's iPod app does frequently. 6. Special swipe and tap interface for fullscreen control without looking at the app. Cons: 1. Not able to change playback speed (a big deal to me) 2. Not able to stream audio content that you've purchased (you have to download and most books are too big fo 3G)
Pros: Easy access to lots of music. Not connected to desktop streaming limitations so you can keep streaming even if you go over on that limit Less obnoxious ads Hours of listening! :) Cons: Needs either a good Edge connection or decent 3G connection to work. Drains battery in about 4 hours. Doesn't work as a background app in pre iOS 4 Crashes semi regularly Loads/opens slowly
Since the iPhone has been enabled for MMS, how many photos have I sent? 1, only 1. I think it's interesting how much we as consumers think we want a feature while in reality we may never use it when we actually can use it. I realize that other people may be using MMS extensively, so if I'm the odd ball who thought he'd want MMS and now never uses it, please let me know!
Anyone else looking forward to the new Apple iPhone firmware upgrade? It's expected to come out sometime in the next week, and I'll be upgrading as soon as possible. I realized after I got my iPhone that it was not designed with the power user in mind. It was designed to be a great everyday phone for surfing the web, getting email, using media, and calling people. But it was not as flexible or powerful as my previous Windows Mobile phone was. (Although it crashes less often) I'm looking forward to Apple finally adding a few more "power user" type features. Copy and Paste being one of them. Do you agree that Apple didn't create a power user phone with the iPhone? Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments!
